Hailing from Jaba LGA, Kaduna State, Nigeria, SkidX (real name Praise Kennedy Net) is a versatile vocalist, rapper, and songwriter whose passion for music began at the age of five. A natural musician, SkidX taught himself to play drums and piano before his teenage years and started producing and recording music by 18. Over the past decade, he has shaped his unique sound by blending influences from rap icons like 2Pac, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and M.I Abaga with genres such as afrobeat, afrohouse, reggae, dancehall, trap, and UK drill.

SkidX’s music is a reflection of his life and experiences, interpreting the world through powerful lyrics and dynamic melodies. He’s most proud of his ability to translate life’s lessons into music that resonates with listeners. Currently, SkidX is working on releasing his new 3-step Afrohouse single, “Ogogro”—a project he deeply believes in and is striving to bring to the world.
